What you'll learn:

This course will explain general guidelines to follow as well as some PI tools you can use to manage not just the people in the room but also the people working remotely.

Going deeper with Team Discovery™

Hybrid work can be challenging. You don’t have a good eye on everything that is happening at once like you did when everyone was in the same workplace. As we mentioned, this means changing your management strategies to accommodate those who aren’t immediately there with you.

However, it’s not a one-size-fits-all approach. Not every employee reacts the same way to working remotely. You should also consider the behavioral tendencies of your employees to know how to best interact with them if they are remote or in-person. The following video will introduce the Team Discovery tool and the quadrants that give us insight into a person’s behaviors at work.

Communication by Quadrants

Now we know about the four quadrants and common behaviors of the people who fall within them. Using the interactive below, let’s learn about how each team should be managed based on those quadrants.

As you can see, there are different ways that a person might interact with the team based on where they fall within the quadrant and their location. To maximize results, use the Team Discovery tool to understand exactly where your employees fall, and respond accordingly. But don’t feel like this information is only for your eyes. Sit down with your team and discuss these results and how they can come together to come up with new processes to make sure no one is being left behind. You can also use this discussion as a great opportunity to fill out the Hybrid Team Work Charter

Hybrid work may seem like a daunting task but when considering the behavioral tendencies of your team and sticking to your core values, you’ll be able to work like a well-oiled machine in no time.
