Strategic Business and Talent Optimization Consultant
Larry has over forty years of experience in operations, sales, and sales management with Fortune 500 companies, including more than thirty decades in executive-level positions.
In operational capacities with Ryder Transportation Services, he directed field business units in small and major markets throughout the United States and Puerto Rico, with operating revenues over $40 million and more than 300 employees. Operations experience includes managing union labor, mergers, and acquisitions, experienced in Six Sigma and corporate re-engineering task forces.
Larry also served as Regional Vice President of Sales directing a National Sales group interfacing with many Fortune 500 companies expanding existing relationships and developing new customers. In this position, he supported all local sales efforts covering ten states to meet their sales growth objectives.
He joined PACCAR Leasing as Director of Sales to lead a Chairman driven initiative to double year over year sales. Later he joined Peterbilt Motors Company (another PACCAR Division) and became Assistant General Manager Sales & Marketing. In this position, he was responsible for all marketing and sales functions leading efforts to transition the company's sales force from its traditional customer base to focus on other segments and products to achieve long term growth objectives. Larry's final position with Peterbilt focused on expanding Peterbilt's reach into undeveloped segments to provide significant market share growth as Director of National Sales.
Larry grew up in Iowa and attended Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. Other professional development programs include Market Based Pricing Strategies at the Kenan Flagler Business School University of North Carolina, Product Marketing Strategies at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, and Business Marketing Strategies at Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University.
